Tabletop Tavern Guide
This site is not trying to be a fake faction leaderboard or a fake complete walkthrough. Tabletop Tavern gets easier once you stop asking for one universal best line and start asking which part of the run is currently failing: the opener, the room loop, the route, or the deck identity.
Use the sections below like a diagnosis board. Pick the failure that sounds most familiar, then go to the page built for that problem. That is more useful than reading another broad page that pretends every run wants the same answer.
The run dies before it has an identity
Start here if the first few battles already feel shaky, purchases feel random, or you keep entering the mid-run without a stable core.
Open the beginner routing page →The tavern wins fights but loses pace
Use these pages when the room gets busy, service lines clog, or menu choices stop converting into clean nights.
Read tavern operations →The route keeps offering choices I misread
This is the right path when events, map nodes, and greed decisions keep turning a good run into a brittle one.
Read campaign routing →The deck or faction looks strong but feels wrong
Go here when your card pool, faction choice, or build identity looks promising on paper but collapses in real runs.
Open the guide hub →Four Failure Signals Worth Reading Correctly
| Signal | What It Usually Means |
|---|---|
| Opening failure | You are spending early gold on panic fixes instead of building a line that can survive imperfect draws and awkward rooms. |
| Room congestion | The tavern has enough demand to look healthy, but the service loop is slow, messy, or constantly falling behind itself. |
| Wrong greed window | You keep taking one more battle, one more event, or one more expensive choice after the run already needed recovery. |
| Identity drift | The faction, deck, and menu are all pulling in different directions, so every upgrade solves a different problem and none of them stick. |
